The Road To Cordia A Cancordian Adventure Book 1 edition by Jess Allison Alison Blake Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Jess Allison has created a world of adventure, magic, intrigue, that will keep the reader spellbound. His characters present themselves as real living figures with real life problems that must be solved by sword and magic
A tale of " trying to get home" in somewhat strange lands. Made-up words trying to becoming self important and a girl growing up with little support other than strangers
A bit of fantasy mixed with adventure and politics and treachery. Good characters. Well-written. Easy read flows and grips your attention. Good for both adults and young adults if the like the genre.
Enjoy!
I enjoyed it very much. It's very well written, and compellingly imagined. In some respects, it's reminiscent of The Queen of the Orcs, but less violent and better written. The author's voice is wonderful, as well as her presentation of a world as it appears to a lost and bewildered teen ager.
The Road to Cordia is the perfect blend of humor and action. Not only did I fall in love with the characters, but I was impressed at their realism. And I loved how Jess Allison created a world of believable fantasy, so that I could actually picture six legged creatures and green people without them being a joke. This is a heartwarming story of courage, and triumph that anyone would love.
I love a good science fiction. This book takes place on another planet where you have no idea what to expect. It is not your typical story where you can guess things as you go along. So many things happen through this story. I love how the character develops from a shy, weak girl to a strong woman. Looking forward to reading more.
I truly enjoyable read. Don't think if you send a girl to do a job she won't get it done, because this one will try. Yummy characters that kept me riveted. I felt like I was right there with them on this trip and couldn't wait for what was around the bend. Waiting eagerly for the next book.
